Biography

fukumimi （福耳） is a collaboration of artists under the management of Office Augusta. Formed in 1998-04-12 the band's original members are Suga Shikao, Yamazaki Masayoshi, and Kyoko. The band made their debut at a performance together at Zepp Sapporo. Their first single was released in 1999 entitled [星のかけらを探しに行こう Again (Hoshi no Kakera wo Sagashi ni Ikou Again)]. The band gained popularity through performances together at various live events, the most popular being Augusta Camp. It was during these performances that other artists with Office Augusta started to perform with the band. The band released their second single, [10 Years After], in 2002 with the addition of COIL and Hajime Chitose to the line up. In 2003 the bands third single, [SUMMER of LOVE/ALL OVER AGAIN], was released. The band went on a long hiatus but continued to perform together at various live events. Finally, in 2006 the band released their fourth single, [惑星タイマー (Wakusei Timer)], adding Araki Yuko (mi-gu) and Sukima Switch to the line up. The band released their first ever album, [福耳 (fukumimi) THE BEST WORKS], highlighting their singles as well as live performances on 2006-09-13. After a year-long break, the band came back with another single in 2008 entitled [DANCE BABY DANCE]. This time the band grew even more, adding Hata Motohiro, Nagasawa Tomoyuki, and MICRON'STUFF to their line up. Also in 2008, the band released their second album, [10th Anniversary Songs ~Tribute to COIL~]. Sadly, in April of 2010, MICRON'STUFF disbanded and left fukumimi, but in July the band released another new album entitled [福耳 (fukumimi) THE BEST ACOUSTIC WORKS]. The album is a collection of best tracks from all the artists in fukumimi and was the first album to feature fukumimi's newest member Sakai Yu. The band will release yet another album in 2010 entitled [HOME〜山崎まさよしトリビュート〜 (HOME~Yamazaki Masayoshi Tribute~)] celebrating member Yamazaki Masayoshi's 15th anniversary.
